Which gasoline brand provides the best fuel mileage?

I used to use BP whenever possible, but now, I think I need to find another gas station. I read somewhere a long time ago that different brands provide different fuel mileage. Is this true? And if so, What brand provides the best fuel mileage?

Petrol has different octanes, and like people your car has a certain preference! early spark will cause a loss of power and mileage as will late burn.

look at your plugs!!! its all in the color! lean is gray and rich is black or dark brown.. your shooting for really light brown to more of a sandy grey!

i'm a believer in VP fuels, But I find it interesting that Dodge, Chevrolet, and Ford all use Chevron gasoline when testing new vehicles and it doesn't hurt that they have engine cleaning additives in their fuels!!!

also for all you carb jobs, your all aced fuel injection is were its at lol

All gas comes from the same distributor. Different brands, Shell/Mobil, Chevron/Texaco, Diamond Shamrock, etc. chemicals are then added after the tanker truck is filled. All the octane does is slow down the burning of gas. Cetane on the other hand, speeds up the burning of diesel fuel.
